the Joys of Frank and Bing

Frank: What’s..What’s going on in the tub over there? We gonna bob for apples?

Bing: Ah, this is a Christmas bowl, not Halloween. Its an old English Wassail bowl.

Frank: ohhh,… Well that’ll bring up the volume a little.

Bing: Humm, You’ll sing like a bird

Frank: Hi ho the holly the life most jolly.

Bing: You know this recipe’s a hundred years old?

….

Bing: Well they had a time in merry ole England.

Frank: Didn’t they though

Bing: Ever wish you’d been around in those days?

Frank: humm yeah maybe for just one festive evening.

Bing: That’s about all it would last by the way.

(Both chuckle)

I am by myself in the office for the rest of the day and I don’t have a car. I am seriously considering just ordering a big ass pizza and going to town while watching TCM for the rest of the day. I know I am talking about pizza lot, last month it was cheeseburgers, but when shit goes down I turn to delicious melted cheese, carbs, and mystery meat. That is how I roll.

and i just realized why i wanted pizza all day yesterday (which i got last night) was because i had been reading your posts

Remember the poinsettia that someone abandoned on my desk?

At our holiday party after sixteen ounces of pomegranate martini (thanks, Applebees!) I informed my boss that I do not do plants and I did not know what I was expected to do with one left so carelessly in my possession. She said, “It came with instructions on the back!” and I said, “No,” so she said that I could just leave it be and someone else would deal with it.

Now it’s dead.

I left for a four day weekend and now it’s dead, and I have an abandoned, ugly, dead poinsettia that I never wanted and I have to feel guilty about its demise even though it isn’t my fault.

if you just give it a little bit of water it will come back…that is if you want it to

I got asked...

to go look at Christmas lights while drinking hot chocolate when he gets back home via text message in a code for me to crack. (normally i would not be ok with being asked out on a “date” via text but you can’t exactly call a code in a conversation and i loved getting to break the code.) I’m so excited!

“American country music star Toby Keith, right, enters the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony for Barack Obama at City Hall in Oslo, Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009. (AP Photo/John McConnico, pool)”

Hah, I was wondering if he’d take off the hat.  Nope.

What? Wait. What?
Why?
Really…?

But does he know the difference between Iraq and Iran?
Is he hanging out with Will Smith?
I can’t. I just CAN’T.

Toby Keith is actually a pretty liberal guy, when it comes down to it, surprisingly. He just is fanatical about supporting the troops.
From his Wikipedia page (I know)

Keith considers himself “a Conservative Democrat who is sometimes embarrassed for his party.”[9] He endorsed the re-election of President George W. Bush in 2004 and performed at a Dallas, Texas, rally on the night before the election. Keith also endorsed Democrat Dan Boren in his successful run in Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district and is good friends with Democratic New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. In a January 2007 interview with Newsday, Keith was asked whether he supported the Iraq War. He responded with “Never did.” He favors setting a time limit on the campaign. He also said, “I don’t apologize for being patriotic… If there is something socially incorrect about being patriotic and supporting your troops, then they can kiss my ass on that, because I’m not going to budge on that at all. And that has nothing to do with politics. Politics is what’s killing America.”
In March 2009, Toby received the Johnny “Mike” Spann Memorial Semper Fidelis Award during a New York ceremony held by the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. The trophy is named for the former Marine Corps captain who was the first U.S. casualty in the war in Afghanistan. “Spending time with our soldiers around the world is something I’ve always regarded as a privilege and honor,” Toby says. “I’m certainly happy to accept this award, but I won’t forget for a second who’s really doing the heavy lifting to keep this country safe. And that’s why I’ll keep going back and spending time with those good folks every chance I get.”
[10]
Since 2002, Toby has made numerous trips to the Middle East for years to bring entertainment and encouragement to the men and women serving on or near the front lines. “My father was a soldier. He taught his kids to respect veterans,” said Keith. “It’s that respect and the thank-you that we have a military that’s in place and ready to defend our nation; our freedom.” [11]

ugh.

Why do I care so much?

because you are a hard worker/good friend/good person so when something is not done correctly/you “let someone down”/something just doesn’t go right it bothers you. Don’t worry it will get better and you’ll be in that new awesome house and you will not think twice about whatever it is you care about!
